about us
Ergo-Safety was founded in 1992 by Sue Hanel. We believe it is in everyone’s best interest that our customers receive the highest quality ergonomic care possible. We therefore ensure that our assessors have the latest ergonomics-related knowledge and skills through an established quality assurance program, continued education, and our own reviews of new ergonomics studies, practices, evaluation tools, and techniques.
A Trusted Government Partner
In March of 2012, Public Works and Government Services Canada issued a National Master Standing Offer (NMSO) for office workstation evaluations. We were again chosen to serve the National Capital Region. Please be assured that we meet and exceed all the mandatory requirements of NMSO E60ZH-190000/023/ZH.
Public Works and Government Services Canada has granted us Designated Organization Screening at the Reliability Status level and all our team members Reliability Status clearance. We have a broad understanding of Federal and Provincial Health and Safety legislation and have adapted our practices accordingly. We work with several public sector unions and are as comfortable dealing with their concerns as with those of management.

Specialties
At Ergo-Safety, we believe that individuals working in the field of ergonomics should be certified by the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists (CCCPE) or be registered Kinesiologists or Physiotherapists.
The CCCPE regulates the practice of ergonomics and ergonomists within Canada. Their monitoring ensures that people who practice ergonomics have the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the discipline as well as adequate familiarity, competency, and experience with the tools and methods used to apply that knowledge.
